News International have taken the difficult decision to stop broadcasting Jon Gaunt's popular SunTalk show, putting the project on hold for the time being to "concentrate on core business". During its 18 month run, the programme was carried by BayRadio on the Costa Blanca as well as a number of other stations across Spain.
Jon Gaunt's championing of free speech and straightforward, no nonsense presentation created a huge following on the Costa Blanca and beyond, with listeners tuning in in their hundreds of thousands to listen to the award winning show.
Bay Radio owner Andy Stammers says "It has been a great privilege to have worked with one of the largest news corporations in the world". Andy reveals "Jon has been a sensation - a consumate professional and a lovely guy both at work and socially".
Although listeners will obviously be disappointed with this news, they can be assured that BayRadio will continue to provide the same high quality programming it has become renowned for. And going forward, we have some major developments coming soon, and some very exciting news on its way for September.
