Diputación de Valencia president resigns amid corruption row

BayRadio | July 3, 2018

The president of the Diputación de Valencia, Jorge Rodríguez, has resigned fter being questioned on suspicion of malfeasance.

The former leader of the provincial council refutes any wrong-doing, saying he leaves the position with a “clear conscience” and that he, and his team are innocent of any malpractice.

It’s understood Mr. Rodríguez has also been suspended from PSOE, whilst an investigation is ongoing into the appointments to the board of a local regeneration agency.
