Police raids on terror suspects

Police in Catalonia have launched a major operation against Algerian and Moroccan suspects believed to have been plotting a terror attack. Officers have confirmed they have made several arrests in Barcelona and one in nearby Igualada in the ongoing operation, targeting a jihadist support network.
More than 100 officers from different units are taking part in the raids which are expected to detain around a dozen people.
Local reports said the detainees were part of a cell that were in the early stages of planning a terror attack.
They’re suspected of stealing passports and other ID from tourists that could be used as part of their plans.
