Habaneras Shopping Centre has managed to promote the conservation of our environment through sport

BayRadio | June 21, 2019

As part of the important #YoSoyTorrevieja campaign, Habaneras has
joined forces with the Jennifer Colino Club and triathletes in the defence
of environmental values.
Over recent weeks, Habaneras Shopping Centre, managed by JLL, has shown its strong
awareness of the need for nature conservation. And for this reason, it is dedicating a large
part of its efforts to the #YoSoyTorrevieja campaign, which has already resulted in important
achievements, such as its participation in the great plastic and waste macro-collection last
Saturday, in collaboration with Ecoembes’ Libera Project.
Aware that the practice of any sport activity generates much more impact if it also contributes
to valuable environmental social movements, Habaneras has joined efforts with the
organisational body of the 5th City of Torrevieja Triathlon and with the medal-winning
gymnasts from the Jennifer Colino Club. It is for this reason that the triathletes joined this
movement last Sunday and will be back again next Saturday, 22 June, at 7:00 p.m. A very
special performance has also been organised featuring the rhythmic gymnastics club from
Torrevieja, where the athletes will demonstrate their awareness and commitment to the
conservation of our environment.
In recent weeks, Habaneras Shopping Centre has become one of the main promoters of
environmental protection in Torrevieja, as a result of all of the actions carried out with the
“Shark Patrol”, responsible for transmitting environmental values to both the young and the
young at heart, thanks to its teaching of eco-tips and distribution of thousands of recycled
cotton bags, to aid in the community’s collection of plastics, as well as through its fun
eco-workshops, where children learn while having fun.
Habaneras is Torrevieja, and that’s how #YoSoyTorrevieja was born.
