Canaries Blood Drive

The regional health authority in the Canaries is inviting people who wish to donate blood to do so in the coming weeks.
Mobile blood donation units from the ICHH are to be sent out across Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura this week, allowing people to donate blood at their convenience.
There is a reminder that many Brits are unable to heed the call because Spain has rules forbidding anyone to donate blood if they were in the UK for more than twelve months (consecutively or in total) between January 1980 and December 1996, due to fears about CJD or Mad Cow Disease.
