Franco’s exhumation to take place on Thursday

BayRadio | October 22, 2019

Spain will remove the remains of Francisco Franco from the Valley of the Fallen mausoleum northwest of Madrid this Thursday the 24th.
The long-awaited date was announced this morning after Spain’s Supreme Court overruled a string of objections from his family, who’d tried to halt the exhumation.
The remains will be relocated to a state cemetery 20 kilometres north of the capital, and placed next to those of his wife.
The move has divided opinion in Spain, which is still conflicted over the dictatorship that ended with Franco’s death in 1975.
