HMA Hugh Elliott visits Jávea to speak to UK nationals

BayRadio | December 11, 2019

On his first official visit to Alicante province as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Spain, Hugh Elliott will speak alongside Sarah-Jane Morris at an outreach event for UK nationals in Jávea.

HMA Hugh Elliott and the Consular team will update residents with the latest information on Brexit and what this means for UK nationals living in Spain. The team will be happy to answer your questions, so please come along and talk to us.

Event details:
Wednesday 18 December (12pm) in Sala Polivalente, Avenida Trenc d’Alba, 2, 03730,
Javea (between the local police and the Oficina de Atencion al Ciudadano)

There is no need to register beforehand and you do not need to be resident in Jávea to attend. If you have specific questions, do bring along any relevant paperwork and you will be able to speak to one of us individually. Local English-speaking support associations will also be present at the event.

HMA Hugh Elliott said: "I am very much looking forward to this visit to Alicante, to meeting some of the many, many UK nationals who have made the region their home; and in particular to speaking to those charities who provide so much vital support to the English-speaking community in this area.

"In the meantime, I urge all UK nationals living in Spain to ensure you are correctly registered as a resident, check you are accessing healthcare correctly and to stay up to date with the latest news, by signing up for email alerts to the Living in Spain guide on gov.uk and following Brits in Spain on Facebook.”
