The Spanish economy has contracted by 18.5% in the second quarter of 2020

The Spanish economy has contracted by 18.5% in the second quarter of 2020, making it the largest contraction in the Eurozone.
The nations GDP has shrunk at one of the worst rates in recorded history due to the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Hungary, Portugal, France and Italy all follow behind Spain in the extent of their recession.
The average contraction of the Eurozone stood at 12.1% and that of the European Union as a whole by 11.7%
