International tourists are, in general, spending more money locally, that’s to the latest information from Spain’s National Statistics Office.
In the Canaries, tourist spending rose 2.5%, on the Costa Blanca, it was up by 2.1% and across Catalonia by 0.9%.
Average spending per day has also risen to €147, an increase of 3% compared to last year, with British, German and French tourists topping the tables.
