Birthdays at the Preventorio

We had five birthdays and two lovely cakes made by Nicole Robertz from Eden gardens.
Lorraine and Julie from the Baptist church joined myself, Jack from Euro weekly and Vicentina a local lady from the old town arrived with extra cakes and birthday presents.
The children desperately wanted the umbrellas that  decorated the cakes ! When the cakes were cut into they were the colours of the rainbow which the children were amazed by… such a simple thing that made them smile.

After gifts were given I had the pleasure of taking Jack from Euro Weekly around the home to show him everything we have achieved with the help of the public’s generosity to improve the lives of the children and carers in the home.

Our next project which is almost complete is collecting baby items for the families in need under the umbrella of the  Red Cross.
