You may be interested to know about a Soul, Motown and Northern Soul disco that will be held on a regular basis in Los Leones restaurant, Sol Park, Moraira on the 1st Saturday of every month commencing Saturday 1st March. These events are aimed at people of all ages who like to dance in a warm friendly atmosphere and will feature classic dance music from the 60’s to the 80’s. The 2014 P.E.P.A. Annual General Meeting will be held at the BAR RESTAURANT L’IRLANDES Castellon de Rugat on Tuesday 11th March. The meeting commences at 12.30. However you are invited to attend from 12pm onwards in order to renew your membership – or apply for membership. It will also give you the opportunity to read through the reports on our activities during 2013. The meeting will be followed by lunch at 1.45pm. A further newsletter will be issued nearer the date with details of the lunch. Please do come to the AGM. As a member of the charity it is your chance to find out what P.E.P.A. did in 2013, what is planned for 2014 and to voice your opinions and to ask any questions that you may have.

A Walk on the Bark Side…
Cruz Azul for Pets in San Javier is organising a Walk on the Barkside at the Esplanada de Barnuevo, Santiago de la Ribera, on Sunday, 16 March. It promises to be a great opportunity to walk your pooch along the 3km route and meet other dog-lovers along the way, whilst helping to raise funds for the charity. Entry is just 5€ and your pooch will receive a dog tag when he/she completes the walk. In addition to fundraising events, the Cruz Azul shop in San Javier is open daily and sells clothes, accessories, jewellery, furniture, household goods, bric-a-brac, etc. The shop is open Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 2pm each day and now proudly displays some great graphic signage, which was donated to Cruz Azul by volunteer, Mr Bill Conway. Come and enjoy the last performance of “Magic Of The Musicals” from Amadeus on Thursday March 20th at 8.00pm in the Salon Blau (Casa de Cultura) Calpe. Magic of the Musicalsí ñ an evening of showstoppers from Les Miserables, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Oliver, Mary Poppins to name but a few. The program includes something for everyone, with a few gems not often heard, but delightful never the less. Amadeus previously performed the show during their garden concerts in Benissa during the summer, and around the Costa Blanca. Tonight’s performance will be the final chance to enjoy this show.
