Government issues strike restrictions over Vueling industrial action

BayRadio | April 24, 2018

The Government has informed unions of the minimum service requirements to allow Vueling pilots to take industrial action legally.

Industrial action is planned for tomorrow and Wednesday, as well as Thursday and Friday next week.

The Ministry of Development informed Vueling, Aena, Enaire and the union SEPLA on the provisions that must be in place before strike action will be deemed legal. These include ensuring domestic services to outlaying islands operate fully, and that there is a minimum level of disruption of flights across the country.

Vueling have said they plan to operate 80% of their normal schedule.

Passengers are being advised to check with Vueling prior to their departure in case of delay or cancellations.
