Investment of over €600,000 in Alicante central market announced

The Ayuntamiento de Alicante has invested over €630,000 in the central market in the city, as part of an ongoing refurbishment plan.

Restoration of the facade of the building, improvements to the kiosks and public services, installation of air conditioning and upgrading of commercial facilities will all be part of the investment plan.

The 86-year-old building has been added to the historic register for the region, and is now expected to be sympathetically refurbished to bring it up to modern standards.
