The big band era of Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman was brought to life by the Rommy Baker Orchestra on Sunday evening when the Teulada Moraira Lions presented the first of the club’s three free summer concerts. At least 700 people gathered on the seafront at Moraira castle to be serenaded by music played by the 15 piece band The musicians, a truly international mix from Britain, Spain Cuba and Germany.
Members of the Lions Club took the opportunity to take around buckets to collect donations of 1200€. This money will be used in the funding of their local good causes.
The second free seafront concert will take place on Sunday the 18th of this month, when the popular rock band Black Glitter will take centre stage. The concert commences at 8pm.
