Sanchez voices regret over UK Parliament Brexit vote

BayRadio | March 13, 2019

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has voiced his regret over last night’s vote by the UK Parliament to reject the withdrawal agreement.

Mr Sanchez said that he was unhappy at the outcome of the second meaningful vote, “despite the efforts of the EU to achieve the best agreement”.

MP’s voted down the second vote on the Brexit withdrawal agreement 391 votes against, to 242 in favour – a majority of 149.

Today MP’s are to be given a free vote on whether to reject or approve a “no-deal” disorderly Brexit. Rejecting a no deal could see the UK ask for an extension to
their departure.

The UK is scheduled to leave the European Union on the 29th March
