Spanish economics

BayRadio | October 18, 2018

In the latest Expat Explorer survey from HSBC, Spain is ranked 14th best place to live on the list of 31 countries that were reviewed, dropping three spots since 2017.

But it’s a mixed review. In the category on economic conditions, Spain is nearly last in 27th place, but the country jumps to second when it comes to quality of life.

In this area, Spain is ranked only behind New Zealand, with eight in 10 expats says their quality of life is better here and six out of 10 with children saying health and wellbeing conditions are better than in their home country.

Coming top overall for the fourth year in a row was Singapore, where the average salary of €140,000 tends to be 30% more what an expat believes they could earn at home
