The Baleària high speed ferry to be broken

The Baleària high speed ferry that ran aground last month at the port of Dénia is to be broken up on site, after authorities ruled out refloating it.
Work’s been ongoing since the catamaran struck the breakwater on the 16th August, however the location, and damage sustained since the accident have made refloating it especially difficult.
A crane was spotted lifting equipment from the Pinar Del Rio in the last few days, and she’ll be broken up in situ in the coming months.
