An amazing start of term for an amazing School

BayRadio | September 11, 2018

The start of term for top performing British International School – The Lady Elizabeth School, in Benitachell, Alicante Province – is set to be the most exciting on record.  Following a world-wide search for a new Head of School, Chris Akin is here to welcome back over 1,040 pupils as they begin a new Academic Year. The fabulous new Secondary School campus opens on the Cumbre del Sol, Benitachell on Monday with the completion of a multi-million euro investment from parent company International Schools Partnership.

A motivating and inspirational speech earlier this week by the new Head of School to all the staff, set the scene for an exciting new chapter in the life of this already well established and successful school.  Teachers have been delighted by the recent academic results of their students across the range of subjects for GCSE, A Level and also the ESO and Bachillerato programmes and are delighted with the new facilities that will allow them the opportunity to make the learning experience of all the pupils even more rewarding.

Mr Akin has already met a number of families whilst preparing for the start of term.  His initial reactions to joining the school community were, LES has a well-known reputation as being ¨like a family¨ and this is truly evident in the way people here greet each other and welcome newcomers.  I have long held the belief that, in the end, the most important goal for a school is to support the very families that support the school, and as the new Head of School I am thrilled to see this reciprocal relationship so strong and thriving.  We will be doing some fantastic things this year, and they will be even more special due to this wonderful partnership in our learning community.”

The School will be opening its doors to members of the local community and holding an Open Morning for prospective families to come and find out more about the amazing learning focus within this fabulous new campus. For a personal appointment to come and meet Mr Akin, please contact the Head of Admissions & Marketing, Isabel Calatayud who will be very happy to help.
