Urgent notice – SUMA

BayRadio | October 2, 2018

The following notice applies to 139 municipalities and 30 water boards.

Suma would like to advise all that the voluntary period to pay the IBI and the IAE ends this Friday, 5th October.

In order to facilitate payment, SUMA have improved all their citizen communication channels, reinforcing the telephone service, the new chat and social media.

Should your payment not be on direct debit, this can be carried out via your bank, directly in the offices of SUMA , via the SUMA website, or through their dedicated telephone service.

Online payment

The SUMA website allows payment to be carried out in a simple manner, without queues. Payments via this channel have increased over 40% based on the same time period as 2017.

SUMA have also created SumAcademy, a platform of video tutorials prepared by the staff explaining step by step, in a simple way how to make payment. The channel is available in Spanish, with content also in English, French and German. Sign language has also been integrated this year.

Town Halls

In addition to the wide network of SUMA offices, during the voluntary collection period, the agency provides a dedicated service throughout local town halls. The objective of this initiative is to facilitate tax procedures for citizens and prevent them from having to make long journeys.

Foreign taxpayers

In order to optimise the management and payment of local taxes for those with property in the province, SUMA has a dedicated department, offering services in Spanish, Valencian, English, French, German and Russian, both by phone and in person.

The SUMA website is also available in English, where payments can be made directly.
