Spain joins embargo on arms sales to Turkey

The Spanish Government joined the embargo on arms sales to Turkey already decided by the UK, Germany, France, Holland and Finland.

It is a partial embargo limited to the categories of weapons that can be used in the offensive against the Kurds in Syria and does not affect the contracts for the A400M Airbus transport aircraft or amphibious assault ship that a Spanish-Turkish consortium is building in Istanbul.
