AP Interview: Franco grandson blasts Spain over exhumation

The grandson of late dictator Gen. Francisco Franco says that today’s planned exhumation of his grandfather’s body amounts to “desecration” and that Spain’s interim socialist government are using it as part of their “electoral campaign” for the Nov. 10 general election.

Speaking hours before Franco’s remains were due to be moved from a grandiose mausoleum to a more discreet cemetery, Francisco Franco Martínez-Bordiú also said that “Spain is under a dictatorship of political correctness.”
