Catalan separatist leader denied entry to Canada
The leader of the Catalan separatist movement in Spain has been officially denied entry to Canada.
Carles Puigdemont, fled Spain after Catalonia voted for independence in an illiegal referendum in 2017 and now lives in Belgium.
Canada’s immigration officials in Paris refused entry on the grounds of the criminal charges against him in Spain.
