Haiti Earthquake
Following the devastating earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale that struck Haiti on 12 January, killing thousands, Red Cross volunteers in Haiti are currently assisting the injured and supporting hospitals.
The British Red Cross has already released over £200,000 from its Disaster Fund to support the relief effort. However the sheer scale of this disaster means much more will be needed.
The most urgent needs at this time are search and rescue, hospital care, emergency health, clean water, emergency shelter, and logistics.
