Prosecutors are asking for eight years imprisonment for former president of Madrid

Prosecutors are asking for eight years imprisonment for former president of Madrid, Ignacio González, should he be found guilty of corruption.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office as presented formal charges of fraud and embezzlement of public funds between 2012 and 2014, valued at between 6 to 9 million euros.

Mr González denies any wrongdoing.
