A court in Brussels has refused an appeal by former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont

A court in Brussels has refused an appeal by former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont to have his European Arrest Warrant quashed.

In their ruling they said they were unable to cancel the warrant for Mr. Puigdemont and Toni Comín until the European Parliament comes to it’s ruling regarding their political immunity.

Both Mr Puigdemont and Mr Comin have been in self-imposed exile since the Catalan region’s failed independence bid.
