Valencian Community registers 26 new COVID-19 cases – hotspots in Santa Pola, Gandia and Peñíscola

The Valencian Community has recorded 26 new COVID-19 cases in a 24-hour period up to 2pm today Wednesday (July 22nd).

The new diagnoses by PCR bring current active cases over 500 in the entire Community, which includes the provinces of Castellon, Valencia and Alicante.

It is the highest number of active cases since June 30, when the region recorded just 314 active cases.

Current hotspots are still Gandia, which has seen 51 positive results by PCR test in the last 14 days.

Other hotspots with new cases in the last 14 days include:

  • Valencia, Valencia (105)
  • Gandia, Valencia (51)
  • Elche, Alicante (32)
  • Foios, Valencia (14)
  • Peñíscola, Castellón (12)
  • Borriana, Castellón (11)
  • Alicante, Alicante (10)
  • Santa Pola, Alicante (10)
