Madrid makes masks obligatory and reduces group gatherings to 10 people

BayRadio | July 28, 2020

The autonomous community of Madrid has today announced it will make sanitary masks obligatory in all public places as part of measures to reduce COVID-19 transmissions.

Group gatherings will be limited to 10 in restaurants and bars, while recommeding private gatherings do not exceed this number.

The region also plans to produce a special card that registers a person’s immunity while doubling the personnel who track and contain contagions.

It comes after the capital has also seen new cases arising from nightlife and hospitality, as has happened in other regions in Spain.

On Monday, authorities arrested 5 after catching 95 people dancing without masks in Tetuan.
