EU competition regulators have widened their investigation into additional incentives granted by Spanish authorities to Ryanair and other airlines operating at two airports in Catalonia.

The European Commission launched an investigation in 2013 into marketing schemes offered to airlines operating at the Girona-Costa Brava and Reus airports, about 120 km from Barcelona.
