250km/h motorcyclist detained by Policia Nacional

Policia Nacional have arrested a motorcyclist who filmed himself driving at over 250km/h – who then posted the video onto a social media site.

The man, from Lloret de Mar, was detained after an indepth investigation into his posts on the photo-sharing website Instagram. During his arrest, a motorcycle helmet with an integrated camera and recording mediums were seized.

Footage showed the driver – who faces charges of dangerous driving and endangering life – reach speeds of 258 km / h on the C-32 motorway heading towards Gerona.
