Police uncover a fraud of 6 million for the collection of pensions for the deceased

National Police, in collaboration with the Secretary of State for Social Security, have uncovered fraud valued at almost 6 and a half million Euros made by the illegal collection of pensions of people who have died during the past year. 

Police have arrested eleven of the 36 people involved in the scam in 21 provinces.

They have been charged with 55 crimes against Social Security, fraud, document falsification and misappropriation.
