The latest figures from the Spanish Health Ministry yesterday for the number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 is now 429,507.

This is an overall increase of 9,658 against Wednesday, although the ministry claims that 3,781 of these infections occurred in the previous 24 hours.

Figures on Wednesday excluded updates from the Valencia region.

1,607 people have required hospital treatment in the past 7 days, with 114 in intensive care.
