Thursday’s figures from the Spanish Health Ministry for the number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19) is now 488,513.

This is an overall increase of 8,959 against the figure released on Wednesday, although the ministry says 3,607 of the infections occurred in the previous 24 hours.

The figures exclude updated data from Murcia for ‘technical reasons’.

There have now been 100,155 cases of Coronavirus detected in the past 14 days with 46,371 in the past 7.

1,853 people have required hospital treatment in the past 7 days, with 144 in intensive care.

There have been 29,234 Coronavirus-related deaths, an increase of 40 on Wednesday’s figures with 191 recorded in the past 7 days.
