Spanish airline Iberia has begun offering discount COVID-19 tests for passengers leaving Spain.

Spain’s flagship airline is now offering PCR tests from €98 and antibody tests from €50 with scheme partner Quirónprevención.

Passengers can visit any of the nearest Quirónprevención clinics, who will provide an official test result to ‘avoid quarantine’ in relevant destinations.

The standard PCR, carried out from Monday to Friday, has a price of €98. On Saturday, Sunday or bank holidays the cost is €130. An urgent PCR (result in less than 24 hours) will cost €180. The antibody test costs €50, with results in less than an hour.
An Iberia statement said the results would conform with ‘destinations’ that require a negative PCR or antibody test to avoid quarantine rules.

It comes as other tourism companies – hotel chain Room Mate and cruise company Costa Cruceros – are offering free COVID-19 tests included alongside standard purchase prices.
