The Uk government has removed quarantine restrictions on travellers returning from the Canary Islands.

It means that UK nationals will no longer need to quarantine for 14 days after leaving SPain, with the Greek island of Mykonos and Denmark also deemed safe this evening.

The changes apply to anyone arriving in the UK after 04:00 BST on Sunday.

The changes apply to citizens from England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

The FCDO still advises British nationals against all but essential international travel to the rest of Spain due its COVID-19 caseload.

The Valencian Community held the lowest accumulated incidence in all of Spain for 25 days – but the Canaries undercut the region’s figures last week.
