BayRadio | November 16, 2020

The Community of Madrid has lifted restrictions on 10 of the 41 healthcare zones closed off due to spiking COVID-19 infections last month.

From today, people can once again move freely in and out of these healthcare zones.

It comes as the 14-day accumulated incidence dropped by as much as 50% – all of the 10 relaxed districts have an AI under 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Madrid’s overall AI over 14 days has dropped 324 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, according to last Friday’s update.

Together, these regions represent nearly 2% of the population of Madrid – or approximately 200,000 people.

They are: Brújula and Las Fronteras (Torrejón de Ardoz), Guadarrama, Peña Prieta and Rafael Alberti (Puente de Vallecas), San Andrés, San Cristobal y El Espinillo (Villaverde), San Blas (Parla) and Villajero (Moratalaz).
