Valencia has lowest Covid figures in Spain
THE Valencia region has registered the lowest accumulated incidence of coronavirus across the whole of Spain with figure falling to 39.03 per 100,000 residents.
The Ministry of Health statistics published on Wednesday are a rolling measure of the infection levels across the country. Valencia reported 144 new cases – a 35% drop on the previous day – and announced a further 15 Covid-19 deaths.
And for the first time since January and the peak of the third wave of the disease in Spain, the accumulated incidence increased fractionally; from 127.91 cases compared to 127.80 on Tuesday.
Scientists will continue to monitor the situation to see if an increase is the start of a worrying trend – on January 27, the rate for the country as a whole was 889.93 cases per 100,000 people.
