New rules in force between April 12 and April 25

PRESIDENT of the Valencia regional government yesterday announced changes to restrictions designed to help control the spread of Covid-19.

There are three main changes: inside private homes, two groups of cohabitants are allowed; in public, the number of people who can meet outside is increased from four to six – and six people can meet at tables in bars and restaurants; while conditions for visiting nursing homes and sheltered accommodation are relaxed as the majority residents and staff have been immunised.

The borders of Valencia remained sealed and the night time curfew remains at 22.00 to 06.00, although travel between the three provinces of the region is allowed.

Business hours for non-essential shops remains until 20.00, and bars, cafes and restaurants must still close at 18.00.
