VALENCIA’S health department have warned a message proclaiming new relaxed coronavirus rules is fake news.

The regional government meets this evening to discuss any change in Covid-19 measures to come in force from Monday.

Yet a hoax message on social media circulated hours ahead of the summit has announced a series of rule changes.

Health chiefs immediately condemned the scam and asked people to verify
information regarding the crisis through official channels.

The hoaxers falsely claimed the night curfew was being relaxed and would be from 01.00 in the morning until 06.00.

Other falsehood; claiming the hospitality sector could fully open until midnight each evening, use 100% of capacity with up to 10 people a table, and groups of 20 from four households could meet in public and private.

Valencia has urged people to wait for official news of changes expected later tonight and added it was the latest of a series of scams concerning the health emergency.
