There is still more than a month to go back to school, but with the current contagion scenario, it seems that again it will be a course in which we will see the little ones with masks in the classrooms. The Community of Madrid has already announced the measures it will follow in the school year 2021-2022.

The course will start in Madrid with a compulsory mask from the age of 6. In class, the kids will have to wear them, but not only here. Its use outdoors, in recreation or in air activities will also be mandatory although it could be relaxed as the pandemic and vaccination evolve. And another novelty, certified transparent masks will be admitted, according to the request of the group with hearing impairment.

As in this year, children and primary will again have bubble groups and the ratio of the classrooms will remain the same. In addition, the centers will return with the rules of maintaining the interpersonal distance of 1.2 meters.

In the same way, this year the aim is to make the presence total, except in cases where it is necessary to isolate some students or to confine classes due to a positive coronavirus test. Each centre will have a COVID-19 coordinator who will be responsible for reporting any suspected cases of the disease to the administration.

The thorough cleaning of the classrooms will also be maintained and reinforced in spaces with higher intensity of use, ventilation will remain important and will be done naturally preferably with, at least 15 minutes at the beginning and end of the day and whenever possible between classes. In addition, entries will continue to be staggered to respect bubble groups and to minimise student travel. The use of technological resources will also be enhanced.
