Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie become parents to a girl, their second child in common

BayRadio | December 9, 2021

The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, and his wife Carrie, have been parents this Thursday to a young girl. The baby was born in the hospital in London and according to a statement released to the media, both the mother and the child are in perfect health. The couple wanted to thank the “brilliant” maternity team “for all their care and support”. She is the couple’s second child, after Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson was born in April 2020.

Boris and Carrie were married in May 2021 and in July, the Prime Minister’s wife announced that she was pregnant again. For the British Prime Minister, she is the seventh child: four with his ex-wife Marina Wheeler, one from an extramarital relationship and two with his current wife.

The birth of the little girl coincides with one of the most critical moments at the political level of the president after a video came out yesterday about the private parties on Downing Street during the confinement.

It all started with a statement from Counsellor Allegra Stratton in which she joked about the party that apparently took place at Christmas last year. As a result of this video, Stratton has confirmed her resignation. In tears, the exasperator has acknowledged that she will regret those remarks for the rest of her days. Also, during the weekly question-and-answer session to the Prime Minister in the House of Commons, Johnson said he was very angry to see the leaked video and apologized for it.

“I apologize unreservedly for the pain that the video has caused across the country and for the impression it produces, but I repeat that I have been repeatedly assured that there was no party and that the rules of the COVID-19 were not broken,” Johnson said.
