The General Director of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom, congratulated Spain on his Twitter account. The message of congratulations is for the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus carried out by Spain, where there are almost 89.5% of the target population with the complete guideline.

“Thank you, Minister of Health, Carolina Darias and Spain for their strong leadership and walking with the #VaccinEquity speech! I hope the rest of the world will follow suit. We must accelerate our actions to save lives, “he wrote on Twitter in response to another tweet published by the official account of the Ministry of Health, in which Darias said that Europe “can and should contribute to the WHO target of vaccinating 70% of the global population by 2022. Solidarity is not a word. It is a matter of political will”.

The latest Health report indicates that a total of 37,677,168 people have already received the full guideline in Spain, which is 89.5% of those over 12 years of age. On the other hand, 91.3% have at least one dose.
