There are more and more families who, altruistically, come to the border of Poland to receive refugee women and children. From Lugo, for example, Hector and Paulo, neighbors of Castroverde have gone by car to Poland to pick up a family.

From Ciudad Real, María Jesús and Juan Luis, brought Yesenia, Varia and Livaba, three Ukrainian sisters. They were only going to welcome Yesenia -as every summer, but “she did not separate from her little sister, and her mother asked them to travel together”. ” We could not leave them there, we have fulfilled our objective”, says Juan Luis.

A caravan arrives in Paredes de Nava, in Palencia, today that picked up last Tuesday 11 women, 4 children and a two-month-old baby, the neighbors have everything ready to receive them.

At the same time, food, clothing and medicine collections are increasing. There are churches, shops and supermarkets, spread over several cities, to which people keep arriving with bags and boxes. In Getafe, Madrid, a warehouse has managed to collect 80 tons of essential goods in less than three days thanks to the cooperation of the delegations that have enabled them in almost all communities.

New shipments are also made to the border today. From Madrid the first shipment of humanitarian aid managed by the Red Cross arrives with the aim of helping urgently the thousands of people who have been forced to flee their homes. From Lebrija, Seville, a truck leaves with items of all kinds that have been collected in a dental clinic.

In addition, as a sign of support, the bells of the Giralda ring. They join the initiative of the Church promoted in temples throughout Europe to denounce the invasion of Russia.
