Pedro Sánchez announces a bonus of 20 cents for each liter of fuel

President Pedro Sánchez participates in a conference of the third meeting ‘Generation of Opportunities’, where he announces the economic aid prepared by the Government to alleviate the effects of the war in Ukraine.

Lowering prices, aid to carriers, or guaranteeing supplies are some of the measures that will be agreed. There will also be economic measures for the most disadvantaged sectors such as agriculture, livestock and fisheries.

“These are difficult times, they are complex times for all,” says the President of the Executive. “The war is generating a rise in energy prices, which is driving up the costs and the price of raw materials and food exported by Russia and Ukraine”, expressed.

Sánchez announces that the plan to deal with the effects of the war will be to mobilize 16,000 million euros in aid: 6,000 million euros in direct aid and tax cuts and 10,000 million euros in ICO credits.

One of the most outstanding measures is the bonus of 20 cents on each litre of fuel for all citizens until 30 June. The Government will apply a discount of 15 cents and the oil companies, a minimum of 5.
