The Ministry of Health has reported 74,679 new cases of coronavirus since the previous balance, when 34,727 positive were counted.

As detailed by Sanidad, the total of Covid-19 infections since the beginning of the pandemic in Spain is already 11,736,893, while the total number of deaths amounts to 103,721.

According to the latest epidemiological report, Navarre and Galicia are the communities with the highest positivity rate, exceeding 1,000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at 14 days. In terms of the country’s average, the cumulative incidence is 505.86 cases, an increase of more than 70 in the last week.

Sanidad opens the door to the fourth dose of coronavirus vaccine for the general population. This has been assured by the head of Sanidad, Carolina Darias: “We have already put the fourth dose to immunocompromised people and, from now on, the presentation of vaccines will begin to evaluate vaccination to other groups, for example for those over 80 years”.

This is according to Darias “one more step” within the coronavirus pandemic.
