Summer arrives and with it the holidays, towns that during the winter have little population double with tourists the number of neighbors and large cities remain empty. It is common, but this year many communities face this period with a very serious problem, the lack of doctors.

Due to the shortage of professionals in many places have been competing to give the most attractive offer. It is the case for example of Galicia that announces 65,000 euros of salary and fixed place for doctors who want to go to the community.

Alfonso Rueda explained that currently 106 fixed places are being offered for family doctors with an average salary of 65,000 euros, a figure that has been criticized by the unions. Access to these posts is by merit contest.

From the Xunta de Galicia they demand the central government that more training places are needed, the elimination of the replacement rate, more incentives for places of difficult coverage and the creation of the specialty of Emergency.

In Andalusia the job exchanges have been exhausted for months and no longer have anyone. The situation is complicated in the Valencian Community which foresees a saturation of emergencies with the increase in tourists.

From the Canary Islands it is claimed that 500 family doctors and 100 pediatricians are needed and those who are already working have to face this period with a heavy workload.
