Two agents of the Estepona Local Police (Málaga), accused of raping an 18-year-old girl, have avoided entering prison after reaching an agreement with the victim. The police officers, who were arrested in 2018, must attend a sexual re-education course, in addition to compensating the woman.

According to Caso Abierto, the victim would have preferred to reach a pact with the defense of the aggressors and thus not reach trial. In this way, it was not necessary to have to relive what happened four years ago.

In this way, the Audiencia de Málaga has decided that former police officers, Juan Carlos Galván and Vicente Peña, should attend a sexual reeducation course. On the other hand, they must compensate the woman with a total of 80,000 euros.

The event took place on 10 June 2018. The young woman, who had just come of age at the time, was on holiday in Malaga with her friend and her boyfriend. While driving the car, the two officers stopped them to perform a police check.

After discovering that the driver had consumed alcohol, they asked him to leave the car parked and requested a taxi to take the three to the home of one of the aggressors, assuring them that they would return the vehicle when they finished their working day.

However, what happened was something completely different. Shortly after the taxi dropped them off at their destination, the two policemen arrived in the private car of one of them. They chatted amicably with the three friends and then invited them up to their apartment, which they did not oppose as they were agents.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, at 6:30 pm, already inside the home of the aggressors, one of them asked those present “how to start an orgy”. They then tried to convince the complainant to have a threesome.

“How many girls wanted to be in your shoes and make out with two cops at the same time,” they said to the young woman, who tried to resist, but could do nothing. The officers stripped her naked and raped her. The victim’s friend ran away from the house to ask for help.

In total, the Prosecutor’s Office requested a sentence of 30 years in prison for both defendants, who would later be expelled from the Police. The sentence was 33 when it was added that, in addition to raping the victim, they forced her to use cocaine. Finally, after reaching an agreement with her, they will not go to prison.
