The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, will visit the municipality of Bejís (Castellón) today to supervise the extinction work that is taking place in the area. In order to put out the fire completely, ten aircraft are working there this Monday morning.
The fire of Bejís has razed in the last week about 20,000 hectares. The arrival of Pedro Sánchez and Fernando Grande-Marlaska is scheduled around 12 o’clock. Both members of the Government will meet there with the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ximo Puig.
The three will visit the Advanced Command Post located in the Jérica Fire Station (Castellón). They will then recognise fire-fighting work in the field. The Chief Executive is also expected to make a statement to the media at his first public appearance after the end of his summer vacation.
