A fatal accident in spectacular surroundings. It has happened in the Argentine Patagonia, a Brazilian tourist killed by a large piece of falling ice. In the video, you can see the moment when the block of ice falls on to the individual. Immediately, the person who was recording starts running towards the accident to help the victim.

The victim is a 26-year-old accompanied by 16 other hikers in a very dangerous area this time of year because of the thaw. In fact, you can see how there is a sign that restricts entry to the cave where they were hiking.

Specifically, the accident zone is the Cave of Ice of the Cañadón de la Oveja, located within the Tierra del Fuego National Park. It is an area also surrounded by glaciers and in the recording you can hear the companion who is filming, signal a warning to his companions.

The direction of the National Park Tierra del Fuego have issued a statement stressing the danger of the area and the presence of warnings. They did not provide any further information on the victim, but did indicate that the cause of death was head trauma.

Just a few weeks ago, two Spanish tourists died in a hot air balloon accident in Turkey. The Turkish tourist agency said in a statement that those responsible gave the order for everyone to be restrained in the emergency landing and that the two women who didn’t comply were the ones who finally ended up dying when falling from the balloon.

This October, the Australian football player Liam Hampson died when he fell from ten meters high in the Apollo hall in Barcelona, in an event that the Mossos d’Esquadra initially considered an accidental death.
