Radio Presenter

Emma Scott

Background

With over 35 years in the industry, Emma Scott is a true powerhouse. From starting on a Youth Training Scheme in 1988 to becoming one of the UK’s top Drive Time presenters at Kerrang! Radio, Emma’s career has seen her grace the airwaves of the UK’s biggest brands, including Heart, Galaxy, and Metro FM.

She even caught the ear of BBC Radio 1, who approached her twice to join their team!

The Industry Insider

In 2013, Emma channeled her passion for new music into her own PR company, Pluggin’ Baby. Since then, she has become a champion for independent artists, helping hundreds of bands get the airplay they deserve. Her expertise is so vast she’s literally written the books on it: Break Your Band and If It Was My Band.

Why We Love Emma:

  • Academic Ace: She’s earned a Master’s Degree in Music Entrepreneurship (with Distinction, of course!).

  • Multi-Talented: Beyond the mic, she’s a former band manager, record label owner, and award-winning live music promoter.

  • Global Reach: You can catch her Pluggin’ Baby Radio Show right here, joining a network of over 100 stations worldwide.

Whether she’s mentoring musicians on her YouTube channel or sharing insider tips in her “Inside the Music Industry” group, Emma lives and breathes music. We are thrilled to have her energy and expertise on our airwaves!
