Watch – Helicopter rescues British couple from mountaintop behind Altea on Halloween

Alicante’s provincial consortium of firefighters rescued the British couple by helicopter on Halloween.

COVID-19 may have taken the fun out of Hallowe’en – but that didn’t stop the surprises.

First two paragliders sparked two forest fires when they collided with a powerline on Javea’s Montgó mountain (read more), and then a British couple were rescued from a mountaintop by helicopter.

The couple were stranded on the Sierra de Bérnia – a mountain range in that sits between Altea-Calp-Benissa-Alcalalí-Tárbena on the Costa Blanca.

A video shared by the Consorcio Bomberos Diputación de Alicante shows firefighters sending down a rope to pick the stranded couple up. Source.

Due to data protection laws, more about the couple is not known.
